One hundred and eighty two (182) Filipino trainees under the Technical Internship Training Program or TITP are finally going home after finishing their 5-year internship and after having been stranded in Japan for a couple or so months due to the pandemic.
On 20 June, 2020, the 182 trainees from 22 companies all over Japan boarded a chartered Cebu Pacific flight at the Kansai International airport. The chartered flight was arranged and paid for by their employer through the Supervising Organization and was made possible through coordination with the PCG-Osaka and POLO-Osaka.
PCG-Osaka, headed by Consul General Maria Aileen H. Bugarin was at the airport to send off the trainees.
The POLO-Osaka Team headed by Labor Attaché Elizabeth Marie R. Estrada provided final briefing and distributed face shields to the trainees for their personal protection. END
