The Corona Virus Pandemic, with its social/physical distancing, spurred the creativity of PCG-Osaka and POLO-Osaka in their joint celebration of two (2) very important events, the Migrants’ Day and the 122nd commemoration of Philippine Independence.

In coordination with the three (3) associations of Recruitment Agencies deploying workers to Japan, ten (10) Supervising Organizations were identified with an estimated 1,984 TITP trainees working in prefectures under the jurisdiction of PCG-Osaka.  Boxes containing well-loved and all time Filipino favorites including several bottles of spicy bagoong alamang, Datu Puti Sukang Paombong, Silver Swan Soy Sauce, several cans of Fiesta fruit cocktail, dozens of itlog na maalat, packs of Philippine-made Pancit canton, dried mangoes, mongo, Boy Bawang, chicharon baboy with laman and sachets of Magic Sarap, not to forget boxes of face masks, as well as several copies and editions of Filipino magazines (courtesy of DOT) were sent to the trainees, as token of unity and oneness.  The covering letter of Labor Attaché Elizabeth Marie R. Estrada, the Message of Consul General Maria Aileen H. Bugarin and the Independence Day messages of DFA and DOLE Secretaries Teddy Locsin, Jr and Silvestre ‘Bebot’ H. Bello III were part of the package .  END
